The wedding day is one of the most feminine days a woman could ever have. Even brides who rarely wear dresses on regular days actually dress up and wear a white gown for the momentous occasion. But one bride in Singapore defied this unspoken ‘rule’ as she leads a parade of big bikes to her wedding!
Awesome Bride
Netizens could not help but express admiration over this bride who led the big bike motorcade to her wedding! In a video posted by Venga Das, the bride rode a yellow Kawasaki and leads the parade wearing a pink outfit.
Mind you, she’s wearing stilettos! Her big bike also had a yellow garland on the left as decoration and tell-tale sign that this isn’t an ordinary big bike motorcade.
Following the bride are her bridesmaids and wedding entourage, most in big bikes as well.
Submissive Groom?
The groom follows the bride’s lead. Many are saying that this is not right because it appears that he is a submissive groom. After all, in Singapore and nearby places, wedding processions are led by the groom!
The bride is supposed to wait at the wedding venue as the groom makes his way with a convoy, leading the procession and dancing to the beat of the dhol drum.
But while this big bike motorcade appears to be out of custom, a lot of netizens actually love it! Many don’t think that this one is a submissive groom but more of a man who loves his soon-to-be wife so much that he is willing to see and treat her as his equal. That’s more like it, huh?

What is a Groom Parade?
Also known as the Baraat, the groom parade is a wedding procession led by the groom. Oftentimes, the groom’s horse or vehicle is decorated with flowers. The procession, with the groom in the lead and followed by family members and friends, starting from the groom’s house to the meeting place or wedding venue.
There, the bride is waiting. The groom receives a garland and walks towards his bride so that the ceremony can start.
