In most weddings, flower girls are really young kids who fill the aisle with flowers before the bride’s grand entrance. But there are times when the bride wishes for her grandmas to do the honor. The bride in Aklan isn’t the only one to think of such an idea, of course.

Other brides even have flower boys or guys as bridesmaids for new gimmicks.
But these two grandmas in Aklan are really so adorable. Carrying a sign that read, “Here comes our Apo”, the two elderly ladies wearing matching infinity dresses walked with pride down the aisle as they got everyone ready for the coming of the beautiful bride.
Photos Go Viral
Their photos quickly went viral, especially after netizens learned that the two ladies are already aged 83 and 86 years old! Wow.
Herbert Saladar, the groom, felt proud and happy that the story of their grandmas being flower girls has touched the nation.
The photographer who covered the event, Studio Eight Photography, shared the pictures on “State of the Nation with Jessica Soho”. Many netizens were so happy with these old ladies in the entourage, saying that the bride and groom and lucky to have such wonderful and supportive grandmas to guide them in their marriage.
“Masuwerte kayo inabot pa ng mga lola ninyo ang kasal ninyo. Ang hahaba ng mga buhay nila. Long live po mga lola. God bless pati na sa ikinasal,” one netizen wrote.
